Illegal Music Downloading- What is the problem?

You want a new cd or just a few songs from it so you decide to go to the internet for your answers. You can download music legally but most of the time you are not. If you get a track you downloaded for free most likely it is illegal. In Canada downloading copywrited music from peer-to-peer networks is legal, but uploading these files are not. Canada has made fees for blank cd's and other similar devices. These actions are used to fund the musicians for the money that they are loosing. You can buy a cd and upload it on your computer but you are not allowed to share it with other users over the internet. Because the downloading of music off of the internet is so popular music agencies have claimed to have lost 20% of there revenue income, and this is effecting all of the people involved with music.

I think that music downloading is not a bad thing. If you only download a few songs here and a few songs there it is not so bad. If it was making a huge difference there is enough technology where they can stop the download proccess. The people complaining should know that with devices like mp3 players and IPods music is going to be illegally downloaded. Everyone knows that it is very hard to find everyone that is illegally downloading music and that is why people do it. Most people only like a few songs off a cd so therefore do not want to waste there money buying songs they do not like. They can stop people that are downloading music illegaly and if they had a huge problem they would.
